Gathering hacked again?

The gathering database has been hacked again I guess...

This afternoon, I couldn't get to the forums, and on the main page, al I could see were the flash announcements and the site's layout. All content was missing (guess this content comes from the database too). When you clicked on "downloads", the only thing that appeared was the word "HELL".

Now the gathering domain just links through to Take2 games.

I hope this is only temporary (because Gathering officially doesn't exist anymore)

Me too. Even if they do stop hosting the Forum, I hope they will run it for a little while longer so that we can download and save any threads for future reference. I have a feeling it will be back because it would certainly alienate a lot of folks who look there for info/advice about a wide range of popular games.

On the poptop site, there is a form to apply for a focus test group for their next game. In the form itself, there is no mention about Gathering anymore, just Poptop, Take2 and... Rockstar games :shock:

So, I checked the Rockstargames website, but they don't seem to even have a forum...

Gathering forums are probably dead and gone unless take2 reactivate them. If you go to www.gathering.com you will get redirected to the take 2 site. Looks like I'll just have to hang around here and at H&P

Funny thing is the 1.05 patch has started me playing the game again as well after I decided to stop whilst waiting for 1.04!

If you go to the download-section, you still get the HELL message:

But I still feel this could be the end of the gathering forums...

Maybe Poptop should host their own game forums if Rockstar (their new publisher) or Take2 doesn't do it.

http://www.gathering.com/forums/index.php will now get you direct to the Gathering forums. This want working earlier today so maybe the site was hacked or crashed or maybe it is being taken down.

The webmaster had to rebuild the Gathering server. I hink it is now completed and all is back
