Where in the Emerald Isle are you WM, my wife is a Belfast girl & I've suffered a lifetime of The Fureys etc.I'm living in Dublin. Originally from Glasgow I moved here about 7 years ago after spending 3 years in Bournemouth.

Glasgow, Dublin, Bournemouth, spot the odd one out :)
For my money you've ended up in the right place, I assume work or study has dictated your moves.

Actually Ireland had become the core market for the company so it worked out fine for them to have the chief developer living "in country" as it were.
Meant that we all won out of the situation.

And the obvious question, developing what? I may have missed earlier revelations being a noobie here.

When you get really bored try designing an asset management application for a service industry. We use an American horror called Maximo & it's a case of "best of a bad job"
Another gap in the market is a programme for use as an operational log in control room environments, I have adapted Lotus Organiser for this purpose but once again it's "best of a bad job"
Of course maybe you never get bored

When I get bored with the paying work I play around with websites and help moderate a couple of other forums online.
Of course I've a few other hobbies http://www.marshalspost.com/gallery/10.html I'm the one in orange in the first two pics of row 2. I also do rescue/medic for car and motorbike racing.
So there's not much free time to develop other "commercial" products! :(

Only wisdom I got from my father was "Never pass up the chance to p*ss or the chance of a free lunch!"
