View Full Version : What are you doing this weekend?

Well, this week is a rally weekend, I'm up in Sligo. It's in the North West of Ireland (download Irish Free State and look for it!)
I'm on the rescue/extrication unit, the ones that have to cut people out car wrecks. So I'm going to be sitting in the van all weekend waiting.......

What's eveyone else doing?

Working on 2 different maps, beta testing 1 map, and working on a project for my job, trying to figure out a CAD program.
Oh yea! I cut the grass, too. :wink:

I cut the water, which seems to cut the grass quite nicely, since I live in a semi-arid climate. I just need a bit of green paint, and it should look good too :wink:

We get a lot of rain here in Georgia, so the grass grows quite well. :(
'Course, then the wife wants me to cut it, but it just keeps growing back, and I have to cut it again, and it grows back. ARRGH :!: :!:
I hate yard work.

Grass is evil and needs to be destroyed! We are SERIOUSLY considering getting all ours done over with gravel and thus solving the problem :)

A friend of mine wants to cover his yard in concrete and paint it green. Good idea, but rather costly. :lol:

Here in the desert, we have what's called xeriscape. It is the practice of using the most water-efficent plants possible.

However, most people just cover their yards in gravel. Works OK here with a good underlayer of plastic (for weed control). In Georgia, would probably just make a weed garden. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

It would be a good place for all kinds of things to grow. Skeeters, snakes, and such. :lol:
