The first four skins for the F3 diesel are on the website, including:

Southern Pacific 'Daylight' scheme
B&O dark blue & gold
Missouri Pacific blue-gray & white
Red & yellow 'Star'

As I stated elsewhere I intend to follow up with more, including the UP and the Santa Fe 'Warbonnet', depending on the response received.

They looks very good. However I find that the windows doesn't look right, they are tool gray and flat. Have your tried to paste in the original windows on the skin? If that doesn't work, try to give them a more blueish tint.
I thought that the red and yellow star was a UP skin when I looked at it in game. :)
Some more skinning suggestions for the F3:
- Great Northern
- Milwaukee Road
- PRR
- NYC
- Erie Lackawanna
- Lehigh Valley

The original windows are a mix of blue and blue-gray, just as the entire loco is a palette of blue and blue-gray. They just don't look right on other locos, in my opinion.

I'll experiment and see if I can find something I like better for the windows.

The red-and-yellow 'Star' is not historic but is partially based on a red-and-white Texan streamliner (don't remember the name). You may think mine is bright, but the Texan was red, red, red! The 'official' UP is on my list; aside from the wings on the nose, it should be easy to do. Just take a big jar of mustard... ( ).

One 'whimsical' idea of mine is to make a loco version of the popular 'woodie' station wagon. ( :) ) And of course there's always room for the leopard or zebra-skin!

The next set will probably focus on the Santa Fe, the UP, the Cotton Belt (perhaps the best-looking of the lot) and one other to be named later.

Glad you like them! I'll keep turning these out as long as people ask for them, so if you want more train skins you should say so.

The 'Woody' and the Cotton Belt are done and I'm going to start on the ATSF 'Warbonnet' Chief next - with much apprehension, as this one is so well known. The fourth and last member of Set 2 will probably be the 'Hiawatha', but I haven't really made up my mind.

The UP was supposed to be in this set, but the yellow-gold color is so similar to the Cotton Belt that I don't want two similar locos in the same set. Perhaps it will be in Set 3 if there is one.

I am playing with different windows - lighter for the Woody, blue-gray for the Cotton Belt. I'll be glad to make my master .tga files available if anyone wants to try their hand.

If you have a sense of humor - and I hope you do - the 'Woody' is guaranteed to please. Aquamarine and cream with wood side-panels and a big, toothy shark on the nose... Picture that racing down the valley to LA, dudes! 8)

I'm not planning to make a F3 skin now, but why don't you include the master .tga file in the next set, so that it is available just in case someone want to use it.
