Thanks for keeping an eye out and for bringing it to my attention, we aren't affected by this. :) :)

The security hole and warning relate to versions of phpBB of 2.0.10 and below. I believe this is the same security hole that caught Gathering. :(

We at RTI use 2.0.11, the most up to date version which is currently unaffected by that exploit. :)

I think that the gathering may have been vulnerable though. Recently I have been getting virus/exploit warnings when browsing it. I did write to warn them.

And now its not there..............

If youve been to gathering in the last few days check out your PCs...

Beware of dial up hijacks etc. Make sure your anti-virus SW is up to date.

I think the "Bloodhound.Exploit.6" that tried to get into my system came from there.
NAV caught it, twice, and deleted it.
No problems since.
Yep! It's gone again. They really need to upgrade their software.

Yeah, I noticed that, it's on the "to-do" list. Unfortunately other work has been getting in the way of late. I intend to do the patching over the weekend :)

Just another note: garzt3 kindly informed us you still haven't patched the forum.

Just another note: garzt3 kindly informed us you still haven't patched the forum.Yeah, I know, it's just been chaos here :( Have had virtually no time to get on forums :( I have it in my "ToDo" list and now it's underlined with a big red line!

Just out of curiosity, I did a Google search on Garzt3.
A very enthusiastic hacker. Google turned up 2180 hits, all say "Owned" or "Hacked" by Garzt3.
It didn't appear he had a web site of his own.

BTW! I just updated my web site, in case anyone is interested.
Sorry guys, most of the updating was MSTS stuff.
I am curious as to some response to the "Contact Me" link though.

Strange? It seems to work for some, but not others.
Ain't nuthin' fancy, just takes you to another html.
I'll have to look into that.
Uhm? Did you try refreshing your browser? I have been doing some changes all day. Maybe you're still seeing the old cache.

Edit 1: Try this.

That should refresh your browser.

Yes we were hacked, first time any of my websites have been hacked in 10 years. My own fault, I got sloppy and didn't apply the patch.

I've now patched the security holes but haven't done the full script upgrade as I'm a bit sceptical about the quality of the phpBB code now.
